The AudioControl SPK-V8 is a premium loaded subwoofer enclosure featuring AudioControl’s Spike™ Series SPK-8S2 8″ 2-ohm subwoofer housed in a strategically designed ported enclosure. Drawing on AudioControl’s nearly 50 years of audio expertise across home, commercial, and automotive applications, this subwoofer system delivers powerful, articulate bass performance in a durable package built to withstand challenging environments.
The enclosure is constructed from high-density wood fiberboard with a dual front mounting baffle design and internal bracing for maximum rigidity and resonance control. The exterior is coated with Roadkill Armor and covered in marine-grade vinyl, providing excellent resistance to moisture and weather-related damage. Inside, poly-fiber filling helps reduce unwanted resonance for cleaner, more accurate bass reproduction. The SPK-8S2 subwoofer features a fiber matrix injection-molded polypropylene cone that handles up to 500 watts RMS while maintaining low distortion levels.
For convenience and versatility, the SPK-V8 includes both standard push terminals and a quick-disconnect harness, allowing for easy installation and removal. A powder-coated steel grille protects the speaker from damage without compromising sound quality.
